Dan Peirson is Senior Vice President, Programming & Development at Shed Media, where he oversees multiple current series in addition to actively developing the creation of new content.

In his 20 years with the company, Dan has shepherded a diverse range of shows from development to production. He’s currently overseeing the reboot of Shed’s iconic parenting series Supernanny, which received a 20 episode order from Lifetime, and the company’s first HBO Max series, First Dates Hotel.

In addition to Supernanny and First Dates Hotel, Dan has adapted many other international formats for the US market. He developed and Executive Produces Long Lost Family which has become one of the company’s highest volume formats, with over 60 episodes delivered to date. He also helmed US versions of It’s Me Or The Dog and World’s Strictest Parents for Animal Planet and CMT respectively.

Dan currently oversees the company’s breakout true-crime series: Criminal Confessions is now in its 3rd season, and along with Murder For Hire and License to Kill, the company is on track to have delivered close to 100 hours of true-crime programming.

In recent years Dan has steered the company’s move into premium documentary series. He oversaw Warriors of Liberty City (Starz) which received its World Premiere at SXSW in Austin, TX.

With large-scale competition elimination shows (Glam Masters and Styled to Rock), docu-follow (All-American Muslim) and a variety of factual and lifestyle formats, Dan’s credits reflect the company’s incredibly diverse slate of programming and span a huge range of network clients and emerging digital and streaming platforms.

Prior to working in the U.S., Peirson spent 7 years at Shed’s UK sister company Ricochet, and also at the BBC, where he began his television career.
