The “Basketball Wives” Season 6 premiere date was recently revealed, giving fans some insight on when they can expect cast favorites like Evelyn Lozada and Tami Roman to return to the small screen.
On Monday, Lozada shared a photo of herself on Instagram revealing that she will make her Season 6 debut during April 17 premiere. During the commercial break of the Monday night episode of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” a short teaser of “Basketball Wives” Season 6 aired.
In the promo video, Tami and Evelyn approached a referee who throws a basketball in the air. Both women jump to gain possession of the ball, but before the viewers could see who got their hands on the it, the teaser ended.
Tami and Evelyn have some history together dating back to “Basketball Wives” Season 2, which aired from 2010 to 2011. Although Tami and Evelyn have had their problems throughout their friendship, they managed to work things out until Evelyn’s past relationships became the topic of discussion. It was revealed that Evelyn was intimate with Tami’s ex-husband Kenny Anderson which seemingly ended their friendship.
During an interview with “Hollywood Today,” Tami hinted that there will definitely be some drama between herself and Evelyn. While explaining to the host that she tried to be civil with Evelyn during an encounter while filming the series, she was provoked by the things her former friend said to her.
“Basketball Wives” ended with its fifth season back in 2013 with Shaunie O’Neal, Roman and Lozada all being members of the cast. However, when the series returns, there will be several new faces added to the VH1 series along with a few familiar ones from the “Basketball Wives: LA” franchise.
“Basketball Wives” Season 6 will premiere Monday, April 17 at 9 p.m. EDT on VH1.
